Rio 2016 Blog #1

Hello Paddling Fans!

Can you believe the Rio Games are only 29 days away?!  I’ve always been a fan of the Olympic Games.  I remember watching Jackie Joyner-Kersee dominate the Heptathlon and Janet Evens swim to three gold medals in 1988; I was hooked.  What an honor it is to represent your country on the World’s largest stage, and to think of the names that have been associated with Team USA gives me chills.  Qualifying for Rio has been a dream come true and I’m ready to leave the best race of my life on the course in Rio!

I’ve always thought that the US Olympic Team belongs to each of us; Team USA is our team, it belongs to each and every American.  I’m fortunate to have qualified for Rio, and I wouldn’t be here without the support I’ve gotten along the way.   To give back to my family, friends, supporters and fellow paddlers, I’d like to share this story with all of you.  You have all been part of this journey and I’m stoked to share it!

So, welcome to MultiCoach’s Rio 2016 Blog!!  (No worries parents….it will be rated PG so all the kids can follow!)

Thank you and stay tuned!

-Maggie & Michele
